So we're out of the last round of Espresso Five: Chinati. So we've had some, er, animated customers who missed their chance to taste it. So we'll be offering this limited edition offering again for pre-order thru Sunday, 14 February. Only orders received thru that date will be included in the next round of roasting, commencing Monday, 15 February and shipping to postal receptacles nation(world?)wide on Friday, 19 February. So do not delay if becoming "animated" is not something you want to see yourself doing. Order up.

So Aaron is back from his first ever barista competition with a second place finish and his eyes now set toward Anaheim and the United States Barista Championship. Due to a steady stream of calls for Brown to release Aaron's competition espresso for retail sales, we are happy to announce a few limited runs of what will be labeled Espresso 5: Chinati. Unfortunately, it can only be offered on a pre-ordered basis. Chinati will be shipped Monday, 25 January, to the first 20 orders received only thru 20 January. Brown is also honored to be collaborating with one of New York's newest, hippest coffee bars. Aaron will be in New York next week for RBC NYC's grand opening, serving our amazing Guatemala Huehuetenango, Finca Vista Hermosa as RBC's house coffee, and pulling mind-blowing 6oz cups of brewed coffee of our Ethiopia Sidama, Amaro Gayo from RBC's stellar Slayer espresso machine. (Yes, you read that correctly: drip coffee from an espresso machine. Come on in to find out what it's all about.) He'll also be doing informal workshops and mini-lectures on coffee processing and flavor detection, espresso and the like. If you're in the New York City area please stop in and say hello.
